Overview 


Established in 1997, Mountain Warehouse has grown rapidly to become the largest Outdoor Retailer in the UK, with over 300 stores globally and rapidly growing online sales. To continue the success we have seen online, we are looking for a passionate and experienced digital and direct marketing professional to join the team as CRM & Email Manager.

Role and responsibilities

You will be a key member of the team and have a broad remit of responsibility across the customer retention marketing mix. With opportunity to shape and drive growth at a strategic level not only using our substantial UK customer base, but across international locations in North America, Europe and further afield.

  • Define the strategy going forwards to achieve our Customer KPI targets
  • Drive continued revenue growth through email marketing using personalisation, segmentation, automation and customer lifecycle programs
  • Deliver and scale up our direct mail program and direct marketing initiatives to drive multi-channel performance
  • Oversee the customer database and develop a framework for monitoring the growth and performance of our core customer segments
  • Produce forecasts for revenue and cost and provide weekly/monthly reporting highlighting key trends and actionable next steps
  • Identify opportunities for growth and set up new retention campaigns in all key international markets including the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Australia and Poland
  • Line management responsibility for a team of 3

We’d love to meet someone with

  • A degree in marketing, business communications or a relevant subject
  • At least 3-4 years’ experience of managing CRM & Email marketing, preferably within an ecommerce, retail or direct to consumer business
  • Hands-on experience of using an ESP platform to build, deploy and evaluate email campaigns
  • Proven experience of planning and executing direct marketing campaigns
  • Track record in demonstrating ROI using customer centric, data driven strategies
