Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant preferably with a retail background.
You will report directly to the AP Manager and join a team of 5 who are responsible for supplier payments for all products sold in our UK and International stores and our websites.
The role is key in ensuring suppliers are paid to terms and that the onward supply chain is not delayed
What you'll be doing
- Obtaining invoices from suppliers or via our on-line porta.
- Matching invoices to our purchase orders and identifying any discrepancies
- Posting invoices into our Sun System
- Responding to emails received in our central inbox
- Extracting data and running reports from various sources to assist with daily tasks
- Manage deposit and Letter of Credit transactions and payments
- Account reconciliations and aged creditor resolution
- Regular contact with our buying and logistics team
- Processing credit or debit notes as required
- Preparation of payment runs
We'd love to meet someone with
- Minimum of 2 years AP experience, preferably from within the retail sector
- Great excel skills, ideally to advanced levels
- Great team player
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good at problem solving and thinking of solutions
