Reports into: Retail Trader
Role:
Providing support to Retail Trading team and ensuring that all processes are run accurately and smoothly.

Job Description

1. Trading
Creates and updates weekly reports on sales by product and region, analysing the data commercially to feed into
weekly category trade decisions.
Supports the Retail Trade with analysis, identifying trading opportunities. 
Ensures DC stocks (reserves) reflect the buy qtys and maintain availability, highlighting risks and proposing action to
the Team. 

2. Promotions
Understanding the promotional calendar, updating and keeping up to date all relevant reports and highlighting any
issues to the line manager. 
Communicating and working with the allocators to ensure stocks have been built sufficiently. 
Ensure there is sufficient stock available in the regional DC for each promotion and communicate any risks to team.

3. Pricing and Promotional Activity
Sets up weekly markdown templates. 
Responsible for adjusting prices in line with stock volume and product life cycle, potentializing product profit. 
Ensures price changes are made within agreed markdown rules and timelines. 
Uses Price Manager optimally, setting correct prices, bearing in mind the nuances that affect price suggestions.
Understands company pricing process, implementing weekly regional price changes for promotions, markdown and
lines on/off P.E. 
Works across functions to manage the promotional critical path and keeps trackers accurate and up to date
Product information and pricing is reviewed on VM guidelines and Promotional Bulletins, with any changes
communicated.

4. Supporting team for all other ad hoc tasks such as checking orders or suppliers communication, plus
allocation work if necessary

5. Support and ensure month end procedures are carried out
