We have an amazing opportunity for a full time Garment Technologist to join our team to deliver the technical strategy for a new brand within our Mountain Warehouse portfolio. We are looking for an experienced Technologist with experience of multi-product men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and soft accessories, with a knowledge of sustainable products and certification programmes.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the quality of multi-product men’s, women’s, children’s clothing, and accessories.
- Developing sustainable product to minimise impact of product on people and environment.
- Running fit meetings to drive consistency and improvement.
- Driving innovation in product, performance and sustainability through benchmarking and technical advances.
- Streamlining ways of working to deliver efficiencies.
- Integral part of the buying team, advising on technical and sustainable suitability of fabric, construction and fit.
- Managing the department testing and AQL programme.
- Monitoring returns data to spot patterns and poor performance to deliver improvements.
- Building supplier relationships to influence quality and fit.
We’d love to meet someone with
- At least 5 years in a technical role with exposure to multi-product.
- Good knowledge of pattern-cutting, grading, garment construction and production processes.
- Good knowledge of sustainable fabrications and certification programmes.
- Good data management reporting skills.
- Experience of working with offshore suppliers.
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
- Team player capable of working under pressure to deadlines.
- Organised, methodical with great attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
