Overview

Mountain Warehouse's eCommerce business is a high growth, international operation that significantly contributes to total group revenue. We trade on our own direct-to-consumer websites, third-party marketplaces and digital concessions.

This role is responsible for optimising and managing our product catalogue data and brand content on third party websites, such as Amazon, eBay, Next, and others. These channels are a key part of our growth strategy, and we are seeking someone with a passion for eCommerce, high attention to detail and an understanding of how online marketplaces work.

Your role will focus on ensuring the quality and consistency of our catalogue content, such as product titles, descriptions and metadata, to maximise discoverability and customer conversion. You will need to maintain a consistent tone of voice across channels so that customers have the same high-quality experience no matter where they shop our brand.

You will work closely with the Marketplaces Trading Managers to maximise our live assortment and drive sales, and with our Web Catalogue, Buying and Garment Technology teams to best showcase our rapidly expanding range.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hands-on, commercially-focused role with real responsibility in a growing business area.

What you'll be doing

  • Optimising product content for our 15+ third-party trading channels to enhance customer discoverability and conversion
  • Create marketplace specific content, for example keywords & metadata and rich product content (e.g. Amazon A+ Pages)
  • Managing catalogue content, for example ensuring all published products and images are accurate, consistent, searchable and categorised correctly
  • Monitor for changes in content requirements from marketplaces & working with our IT Development team as required
  • Developing and implementing our Catalogue Critical Path for new season launches
  • Using our Product information Manger (PIM) to upload and assign data
  • Creating & embedding new tools & processes to drive efficiencies & accuracy
  • Coordinating translation & localisation of content for international markets
  • Supporting development and accuracy of other brand content (e.g. storefront, ad copy etc)
  • Working with the Marketplaces Trading team to maximise live assortment and drive sales
  • Work closely with other departments within Ecommerce (Website, Email, Social Media, Paid Search, etc.) and wider company to give customers a positive shopping experience.
  • Act as a point of contact for Customer Service and Buying teams for content related queries on marketplaces

We'd love to meet someone with

  • Experience of creating exciting and dynamic online content in an Ecommerce environment, with knowledge of SEO copy best practices
  • Experience of trading on, or developing content for, third party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Next, Walmart, Zalando, etc.)
  • Proactive and self-motivated, keen to roll their sleeves up and make a big difference as part of our fantastic team
  • Keen attention to detail - recognising where the smallest improvements can make the biggest differences.
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Thrives in a busy environment with ability to adapt to last minute requirements
  • Adept at managing multiple concurrent projects and able to prioritise your workload accordingly
  • Fast learner, keen to learn new skills
  • Numerate and well versed in Excel
  • A great attitude and passion for the products we sell with the ability to reflect this in every line of content online

French, German or Spanish language is highly desirable
