Who are we? We originate from the UK where we have a very strong market presence. New Zealand is a great territory for us with its beautiful green landscape, and we are aiming for our next goal of 20 stores. 

 Animal was acquired by Mountain Warehouse and re-launched in the Summer of 2021, initially with an online presence only, before we moved to showcasing a range in some of our stores; we now have a handful of stores in the UK and are so excited to be opening our first store in Queenstown. The new Animal in-house design team have taken inspiration from Animal’s board sports heritage to create a range of authentic, trend-led, and eco-friendly products. Passionate about sustainability, we’ve added well-established sustainable material partners to our supply chain such as PrimaLoft®, ECOVERO™, and TENCEL™ Lyocell, as well as increasing the amount of Organic Cotton and recycled materials in our ranges. We have also partnered with reGAIN, who help divert product from landfill and contribute to a circular environmental retail model. 

  • Mountain Warehouse has 370+ stores globally and over 3000 employees; we are a leading outdoor retailer, with an always-evolving attitude.
  • International- we have Mountain Warehouse stores in Europe across Poland, Germany and Austria, across the pond in Canada and the USA, and our latest adventure is in New Zealand!

 

About the role

Our Team Leaders support the management team with the everyday running of a busy store and team. You will be supporting with;

  • Leading and motivating your team
  • Delivering great Customer Service
  • Encouraging the team to hit their KPIs
  • Ensuring great company standards
  • Visual merchandising
  • Being a Brand Ambassador!

 About you

We are looking for someone with…

  • Previous supervisory/Team Leader experience
  • Ability to motivate a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • A passion for selling and customer engagement
  • An interest in visual merchandising
  • Clothing experience - desirable but not essential!
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and a hands-on attitude
