Overview

As a Group Tax Analyst you will be part of the team responsible for Mountain Warehouse's day to day global tax compliance. The team collectively ensures that Mountain Warehouse meets its global tax compliance requirements, which includes corporation tax, indirect tax, customs and duty and payroll taxes.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparation and submission of other compliance obligations such as Intrastat, EC sales lists, etc.
  • Assists the group tax manager with the corporation tax compliance process, including capital allowances and transfer pricing analysis.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of tax accounts and preparing and posting journals as part of the month end process.
  • Support the preparation of year-end group tax provisioning and disclosures.
  • Assist with the response to any local tax authority enquiries.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of tax systems and processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for other finance teams such as accounts payable, revenue operations and customs as well as understanding the impact that their processes may have on the VAT process.
  • Work closely with other members of the Group Tax Team on ad-hoc projects such as transfer pricing, BRSA and systems process developments.

We'd love to meet someone with

  • Track record of delivering tax compliance effectively and efficiently.
  • Understanding of accounting principles or part-qualified accounting or tax technician.
  • A pragmatic problem-solving approach.
  • Some experience in a fast-paced or commercial environment.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and get into and question the detail.
  • Proficiency in utilising Excel to manage, analyse and reconcile data.
  • Preferred experience with an ERP (Oracle, Netsuite or SAP).
