ROLE: Facilities Manager
REPORTS TO: Store Development Manager


The role is to manage the Facilities within retail. Ensuring we are compliant and safe in all stores. You will be managing all utilities,  along with H&S across retail business you will also be responsible for overseeing all store maintenance


  • Always looking to improve maintenance reporting
    processes and reduce costs (maintenance & utilities),

  • Achievement of business KPIs (aged maintenance work since approval, budgetary spend, store communications)
  • Accuracy of information communications / analysis provided. Provides timely communication in-line with SLAs.
  • Impactful process improvements identified, implemented and measured.
  • Delivers excellent service for our retail estate

Reactive & Planned Maintenance.

  • Managing the maintenance processes of 3rd parties and SLA’s to meet the business requirements.
  • Liaise with all stores to ensure all works are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Communication of the maintenance status is clear to all stakeholders and customers
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Running regular tender process for all maintenance contracts to ensure economical and effective solution for the business.
  • Reporting- captures all cost incurred and builds dashboards to report back the business on a regular basis.
  • Controls and reports spend against budget and gains the required approvals.
  • Co-ordination and management of any business Planned Maintenance and small works projects.

Statutory Maintenance Compliance.

  • Ensuring that all 3rd party statutory maintenance is completed, and the business is compliant with the legal time frames.
  • Maintenance of compliance files and records ensuring stores globally are able to access current certification and reports.


  • Manages the Consultant Relationship to deliver savings and efficiencies across the business
  • Produces relevant accurate reporting and invoice approval to cascade to retail leaders globally, including new stores and closures.
  • Create and embed a process to challenging unnecessary utility usage and bills.
  • Look at ways to reduce spend on utilities across the business by introducing various initiatives.
  • Advise on ESG/Eco targets for customers and provide any necessary consultation for the install of self-generation equipment.
  • Provide reports for the business where necessary (consumption, ESOS, SECR data requirements)
  • Partners with CSR & ESG within the business to support and action above reporting.

Health & Safety

  • Identify business legal requirements for HS & FR actions; ensuring all required works are completed in-line with timeframes set in HSA/FRA’s.
  • Manage the H&S 3rd party relationship and SLA’s of the competent person provider to deliver H&S legal compliance and reporting across the business
  • Ideally IOSHH Trained or willing to be.


  • Approvals up to agreed thresholds; submitted timely and challenges where appropriate. Ensures we retain within budget.
