Email Marketing Assistant

Overview

We are looking for a Email Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Email Manager, the role will support in the planning, delivery and evaluation of email marketing activities, working across the regions and brands of Mountain Warehouse.

What you’ll be doing

  • Understand and deliver the email strategy for all regions including the testing program
  • Responsibility of email process from planning to deployment; ensuring all campaigns are on time.
  • Responsible for all email content/copy writing and for briefing the creative team on email requirements
  • Use a data driven approach to make commercial decisions on product selection for email campaigns
  • Weekly and Monthly reporting; extracting data from the ESP and data reporting tools, updating reports and analysing results with a focus on profitability
  • Be aware of competitor emails and promotions and circulate ideas & recommendations
  • Support with ad hoc analytics for CRM channels
  • Support the wider CRM team as necessary to ensure delivery of digital and print communications

We’d love to meet someone with

  • A degree in marketing, business, communications, or a relevant subject is preferred
  • Experience in an email marketing role, ideally within ecommerce/retail is a bonus
  • A keen interest to build and send marketing emails using an ESP
  • Data literate, passionate about analysing results and motivated by driving success in the form of revenue and profit
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and copy writing skills
  • Experience in using Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel desirable
  • Adept at managing multiple concurrent projects and able to prioritise your workload accordingly
  • Pro-active ‘do-er’, keen to roll your sleeves up and make a difference
