We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the UK and EU Data Protection Regulations) with the primary purpose of making your candidate experience as enjoyable and easy as possible. Personal information that we collect about you and why

Information that you enter when registering an online application enables us to process your profile against our role requirements and inform you of our decisions.

  • We require your name so we know what to call you.
  • Your CV, so we can review against the job requirements.
  • Home address details, so we can contact you about the role you have applied for. If you give us permission, we will also keep your details on our system to let you know of any other suitable roles in the future.
  • Email address, so we can contact you about the role you have applied for. If you give us permission, we will also keep your details on our database to let you know of any other suitable roles in the future.
  • Telephone number, so we can contact you about the role you have applied for. If you give us permission, we will also keep your details on our system to let you know of any other suitable roles in the future.
  • Employment history and educational background, so we can assess your suitability against the role requirements.
  • Work authorisation, so we can establish you are eligible to work in the UK.
  • May ask for reference information but will only action this should you accept a position with us.
  • Other sensitive information may include: racial or ethical origin, criminal record, right to work and details of disabilities

Updating your preferences and your right for erasure

We hold this information for as long as you remain an 'Active' candidate, or as long as you choose to stay in our 'Talent Pool'. You have the right to change your preferences at any time. If you receive an 'Unsuccessful' outcome at any stage, and wish to be erased following this, you can delete your account by contacting the recruitment team via email at jobs@mountainwarehouse.com and/or privacy@mountainwarehouse.com. You can elect to erase all other details by contacting our recruitment team via email on jobs@mountainwarehouse.com and/or privacy@mountainwarehouse.com. We will acknowledge your request and follow this up within 30 days.


Complaints

If you are concerned about an alleged breach of privacy, you can contact our Data Protection Officer privacy@mountainwarehouse.com The Data Protection Officer will be available to investigate your complaint and give information about how it will be handled.

Who we share your personal information with

We may share job related information about you to relevant hiring managers here at Mountain Warehouse so they able to access and evaluate your application against job requirements as part of the recruitment process.

We will never (ever) sell any of your personal data to a third party.


Changes to our privacy policy

We may amend this policy regularly and we will inform you via email if you are subscribed to receive recruitment communications from us. The date at the top of this page will be amended each time this policy is updated. Our current privacy policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
